Just wondering... Que... que what? I've explained everything already on my back posts. The sentences after the first on my last comment to you are a general observation, not referring for you. If you're referring to me being on facebook or twitter, yes I am on both. Any writers here who want to connect with me are welcome. facebook.com/Xean and twitter.com/XeanLive

If you learned the right form when you were eight, why have you been using the wrong one on the message boards?(By this I mean misplacing the apostrophe in such words as didn't etc You've been writing did'nt etc ) I would be genuinely interested to hear your answer to this. Not trying to get at you, just want to understand the reasoning. Have had a look at back posts and don't see where you've explained why you did this. Apologies if you did explain somewhere else. Can you post it here or direct me to it? Not pulling your leg. Seriously would like to read your answer. Totally flummoxed as to why you would deliberately write something you knew to be incorrect.

Quote: Xean, Monday, 27 Jun 2011 18:06dancingsue, there's a hundred different Susan Howe's on facebook, which one are you? Can't find you on Twitter either. I do know you from Wikipedia though, where you're celebrated for your many accomplishments: "Susan Howe (June 10, 1937) is a U.S. poet and scholar, essayist and critic... She is the recipient of the 2011 Bollingen Prize in American Poetry." You must have moved to Herefordshire. Have I told you you're one of my idols? Now to be talking to you on this site is such an honor. Congratulations on the prize and for your newly published book collaboration! You are going to be dreadfully disappointed, Xean. I am not famous and although I have won a couple of prizes, they are not nearly as lofty as the Bollingen. If you'd read my poems, you would have known that. I will go and change my name. I never liked it anyway.

Let's just enjoy the opportunity for connecting with other writers this site offers and relax to the soothing strains of pleasant conversation. Don't you agree?

Nothing personal, but was just pulling your leg (you owe me one *joking) to prove a point. When we make pranks and rib on each other, it can sometimes be mistaken for the real thing and that then leads to real misunderstandings. And who knows where those can end up if not corrected. Our example proves the point. An occasional joke is okay, but make sure the other guy understands that's what it is. Let's treat each other and our constructive fellow writers with respect. I did take a look at your work. See your website, where I left you a compliment. Seriously, are you on twitter or facebook? You have another fan here if you like company, but I really can't find you. Try linking up on mine, so I can find you.

This is you in post 121717: 'Just being informal and casual, louheneghan. Any of you guys been reading my back posts?? I've been in agreement with you. Seems now you're arguing against yourselves! Oh, I get it; just ribbing again. Seems the only time I hear something from you is for pulling my legs. I'm so tall now, I can almost reach the sky!' Sorry to be like the dog with the proverbial bone but this doesn't explain your reasons for deliberately misusing the apostrophe when you know how to use it. Not arguing - honest! Genuinely want to know why you're doing it! Please tell me! I'm intrigued!
