This kinda links in with the Your Childhood Favourites thread.
When I was at school I read two horror novels. I'd like to track them down now, but can't remember what they were called, or who the author was.
The books were an original and it's sequel. The main characters were red-headed teenaged twins who couldn't understand why they were being haunted and their nerdish blond cousin who was extremely intelligent and knew exactly what was going on.
The children went on holiday together in the English countryside, and lots of scary wackiness ensured.
One book had something to do with Mummers. The other with the Black Death (I remember the young boy went back in time and woke up in the arms of a woman who had died from the plague).
I remember the books because they scared the bejesus out of me. They were not Harry Potter-style novels. They leaned more to James Herbert.
They were published between the mid '80s to early '90s.
If these descriptions ring a bell, please post here or send me an email.
Thanks.
