I've just started a new feature on my website- author interviews. So far I am featuring Huw Langridge, author of 'Schaefer's Integrity' and Catherine Kirby (See Through). It costs nothing, and helps to increase your exposure on the web.
If you would like to be included please contact me via my web site, www.allanmayer.com, and while you're there take a look at the interviews.

I know it's early in the morning, but I couldn't find this item on your web. First of all I misspelt your name and up came this photo of a gorgeous man who looked a bit like David Cameron. He has nothing to do with writing. Then I tried again but couldn't find a link to your interviews. I'd love to talk to you about Woodsmoke which has been in the best sellers chart for two years and has been published by YWO.

Many thanks
Eileen

Just like to say Allen that I'm over the moon with the way you've presented my interview. Thanks for all the hard work you've done. I'd love to be able to reciprocate but don't have the time or talent for making a good website.

I suggest though that those of us that do have websites and keep them up to date could interview each other and promote your books in that way. I shall suggest this on one of the other forums to make sure it is seen. Don't know which one would be best. Any suggestions? Don't want the idea to be lost.

I'm enjoying reading your book Allan. You've clearly put a lot of time and talent into it. I like the way you've made creative and effective use of different styles. It has given it a freshness and life that is remarkable for the serious nature of the book. Somehow you've lifted it with humour that underlines rather than diminishes the message and intrigue of the story. It's a book to give to friends and family as a gift. I hope it does well.

Thanks very much for the comments Catherine, they mean so much, and I'm glad you like your interview.
Hi Eileen- good to hear from you- we've been playing leapfrog in the Book Depository chart this week.
A gorgeous man who looks like David Cameron? Now there's an achievement. No, I'm a gorgeous man who looks, I am told, like Salman Rushdie...
Anyway- I'm trying to make the interviews easier to find. My website designer is tied up at the moment so I'm doing it myself and still have a few things to learn.
At the moment, if you go onto my website (and not Allan meyer, who I think is some sort of evangelist) and click on author interview 1 you get Huw's, if you press 2 you get Catherine's (or just click here: http://www.allanmayer.com/2.html

Then if you want to feature, go to my contact page and get in touch.
Look forward to hearing from you,

Allan

Thanks, Allan. I must take a look at the Book depository chart. They are pretty good for delivery (better than Amazon). I'll follow your instructions and see what happens. I do hope you don't look like Salmon Rushdie and you are hiding your light under a bushel (or something like that).

That's a very good interview and a very good concept. It is presented very well and is easy to read too which can only help. I would be up for an interview, although I'm not that sure what I would be able to offer in return.

Hi Neil,
Don't want anything in return- the interviews make my website look better and add more varied content, so do feel free to take part.

I'd be glad to put my name down too. I'd be a very boring interviewee though.

Funny the number of people who have e-mailed me and said pretty much the same. Truth is, I'm sorry to say, you're not boring. Can't be. You've written a book. Now that in itself makes you pretty interesting. And most writers, even the quiet and unassuming, when asked about why they write, will answer with a passion.

Does that mean I'll only be interesting when I've FINISHED my book?

Sorry, couldn't resist. I've not far to go with it.
