Hi Ted, there must be a glitch in the top ten as we have some following on chapters in there.

Thanks, Lorraine. Follow up chapters weren't planned for the site initially so when a set enters within the word limits we manually remove, which will take place tomorrow. They can still continue to get feedback though.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is this post referring to? "Following on chapters"? What's this code for? I'd be grateful if you would explain.

They are chapters which are not opening chapters. So, for example, chapters six to ten, or four to seven. Only opening chapters up to 10,000 words and short stories over 2,000 words and under 5,000 words are eligible for the top ten chart.

Only opening chapters and short stories are eligible for the top ten, MJ. Other chapters can be posted, and receive reviews, but are limited to 11th place, assuming they score highly enough. There is a guideline somewhere that suggests follow-on chapters are made to be below or above the word count that the computer picks up (between 6-10k words), but if they are not, then Ted has to remove them manually. Hope that helps.
Stop the sketch - it's too silly
