Title : The Parent Prize

Author : Clair Humphries

Genre : Children's Fiction, Novel

Review Extract from Review By: Julie Scanlon

"I loved it! The beginning is good and it gets the reader hooked. The characters develop well and the dialogues are believable and add to the characters.

Even though the book is written for children it is very readable for adults too. The writing is tight, well crafted and well paced. The story lines intermingle well and are not too predictable.

I have only two questions.

1.When Henrietta sees the crisp on the lip of her brother is she behind him (from where she throws the cookie to the back of his head) andif so would she see it?

2.Near the end you say ...Sunday was the only day .... Is this because they(Henry & Henrietta) are on a new regime? If so I suggest you insert ..... Sunday was now the only day... as it suggests change.
Keep writing! "

Synopsis
Amy enters her parents in a TV game show with a prize of fifty thousand pounds. However, winning becomes less of a challenge than coping with the other (often eccentric) contestants and their children, not to mention the show's producer, Belinda who will do anything to boost ratings.

Congratulations Clair!

By the way, I don't know if you saw my message on the "Thank You" forum, but I just wanted to say again how much I enjoyed your review of "Reissue". Good luck with your writing and I look forward to reading your work.
