It's a minor part of the story, but I've just noticed that The Anniversary is at the #4 position for Kindle books on the Russian Revolution.

Wow!

Amazing, isn't it? And The Anniversary is #45 in Literary Fiction, which is probably more amazing, really.

Well done to you, Ann.

Sorry to be dim but could someone point me in the right direction for the Kindle charts, please? I can find the overall one but not how to break it down to genre.

I happened to notice these best-selling positions because they appeared on my book's Kindle page. I think they're posted there if you're in the top 100.

However, to search the lists, from the Amazon home page, choose Kindle Store, then in the column on the left-hand side go down to Kindle ebooks. There you can choose the area that interests you, for example Fiction, followed by a subcategory.

Happy hunting!

LOL! Having much the same swings and roundabouts ride with our crime thriller Sugar & Spice.

The Kindle charts change hourly, and can be exhilarating when doing well (we reached number seven at one stage, and number one in the shakers and movers chart, briefly!) but not so much when, as they must, the ratings start to drop back.

An inconvenient truth about Kindle at the moment is that those at the top will very likely stay at the top, as new Kindle users search the top ranks to make choices for their first downloads.
Don't get left behind by the e-publishing revolution.

There's never been a more exciting time to be a writer!

Yes, it's a rollercoaster. The Anniversary is up to #34 in Literary Fiction this morning, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Shakespeare, Austen, the Brontes, Hardy, George Eliot, Dickens, Trollope... !! It's even #98 in overall Literary Fiction, that is including printed hardbacks and paperbacks. I'm feeling slightly stunned. This is in the UK. In the US the sales are not so great. Now, if people will just buy the rest of my books . . .
