Great idea You write extremely well and certainly to a publishable standard. Your opening chapters seem to me to demonstrate a fresh and innovative approach to the genre, though it’s some time since I last read a horror book. Your main characters are well drawn and easy to empathise with, and to care about. The plotline is very strong and you have a very readable style of writing. Most importantly I believe your concept is novel and would have very wide appeal.
I do think, however, that the opening chapters need editing in terms of length and structure. The story is very strong, but for me the pace faltered at times when the plot should have sustained it better. Chapter 1 is over 6,000 words long. Had you thought of ending the chapter at “Nothing was going to change that” – This would give you a climax to a strong opening chapter – prepare the reader for a change of scene and leave them wondering what’s going to happen back at the office?
There are also diversions at times, which slow the pace and yet seem to add little – when Lilith tidies up and borrows the jacket – when she takes Lincoln into the corridor and then to her office ...
Chapter 3 is a very strong idea and the mutual attraction aspect is a good twist so early in the plot. It is also very well written, but I think it might have more impact if the reader has some idea that it is coming. It seems a huge jump from being in the office at the end of Chapter 2 to being “flatmates” at the start of Chapter 3 ...
I hope you don’t take offence at my comments. They’re only personal views and you are perfectly free to ignore them. I just wanted to offer some reader reaction rather than just spout on about how well you write, which of course you certainly do.

Synopsis
Lilith has spent her whole life with Section Seven, an elite company of vampire hunters. Her duty has always been clear and her hatred of vampires has kept her safe throughout the years. Now she is faced with her worst nightmare—a vampire she can’t kill.
