Would it be possible to recover the reading credit when you remove a review. Lets face it, we only remove reviews for a good reason. It is so frustrating when after going to the trouble of doing a good and carefull review for someone, your credit gets wasted by a really really bad review. I mean, a review that is so bad it stands out like a sore thumb compared to the other mixed comments that you get.
Any ideas?

I think a credit should only be received back if the review is removed because it is utterly pointless, and by that I mean it has a cut and paste of 95 of your words followed by something inane like 'good luck with your writing!' Or it is blatantly obvious the reviewer has not read your work (case in point was Mona's story recently) or the reviewer is totally offensive and calls your work a huge bunch of shit - but is not constructive. If they call your work a huge bunch of shit but gives reasons, then tough luck. Giving back a credit for removing a negative review just because it isn't liked by the writer - totally wrong. HTH Susie

Sorry, silly me. Still new to this whole message bording thing.
Thanks for your replies. I shan't complain. The reviews that i was refering too were the kind where the work clearly hadn't been read. But no matter.
Onwards and upwards!

If they're so bad you complain about them, Ted's likely to remove them and return your credit. If you've deleted them, it's too late for that.
If a review's really bad - pointless, rude, criticising you for things you haven't written etc - then the answer is a complaint. There are pretty clear, and sensible, guidelines for reviews, and while we need to be patient with beginners, and listen to those who don't like our work as well as those who do, we do need to draw the line somewhere!
