Hi!

I recently registered the web address leninsharem.com to promote my upcoming historical novel "Lenin's Harem". As I will be soon building an author page as well, I wanted to have a dedicated site for the book, but not have to pay for hosting two sites. (I'm on a pretty tight budget here.) A 1 page site is included with the cost of registration, so I built the site myself, and linked to the publisher and various vendors for the book to give it "depth."

I would be appreciative if any of you who know me (or don't know me ) could take a moment just to look at the site's homepage (and only true page) and tell me if it looks of professional quality. Does the linking to other sites work for you? Or does it seem "gimmicky?"

Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Many thanks!

Best, Bill

It's looking good, Bill. The only thing that I'm not sure about is the width of the page. It's twice the size of my screen and I had to move across to read everything. This could be my browser of course, but It's not something I've noticed with any other site. Hope that helps. Good luck. Pam.

Looks sweet on android tablet and the page resized ok so not sure about pams comment.

The main graphic looks high quality and you could possibly drop the quality to speed loading. I think the buttons look good.

Hi Bill,

First of all, your link/site looks great to me, although I'm a total novice to the technie stuff so my approbation isn't worth much.

But I did manage to read your bio on goodreads and it sparked a germ of an idea for possible collaboration on a project. I'd be happy to present my thoughts in more detail to you if you'd drop me a line at:

Hi Pam! Thanks as always for the quick and helpful response. I'm not sure about the size issue. (New to this website building thing). I'll take a look and at worst reduce width of the main image. Thanks again for the heads-up.

Best, Bill

P.S. Were you using any interesting web browser?

Thanks. Yes, I think from your comment and Pam's that maybe a smaller central image would work better for both loading and reading.

I really appreciate the help!

Just the usual Firefox, Bill. If others are seeing it okay it might just be this computer, but like I say, I haven't noticed it "going large" on anything else. It may have been having an iffy day!
