Possible. However, Ted has given us example scores of quite a few reviews, and they've always been integers. That suggests the weights are integers too.

If the average weighting is 2 across the eight categories, the answer will always be an integer.
Notley's score of 78 from 39 suggests it's a straight 2 for each category, but that doesn't explain uneven scores.
