A local council is offering a mobile library service to surfers and sun worshippers at a Cornish beach.
The mobile beach library will be operating three days a week on Fistral Beach in Newquay throughout the summer. How a book might look if it fell in the sea
Cornwall County Council has carried out a survey to compile a list of the top 10 books read on local beaches.
And on Monday, to coincide with the start of the mobile service, copies of these books will be given away free on the beach.
The town's main library has also been given a new interior, with additional facilities such as a family corner, a teen zone and two areas for Cornish books.
It is part of the Love Libraries project, which is backed by authors including JK Rowling and Salman Rushdie.
