I've read a lot of work on YWO which I have felt deserved to be in the Top Ten, but this, which is languishing around 23 at the moment, takes the biscuit. Please read it and contradict me if you can - am I wrong or is this brilliant?

A cynic is no more than a disillusioned romantic.

Are you kidding? Did you actually count them or did you just measure them with a ruler? I bet your ruler doesn't bend.

Regarding the aforesaid, I've had no complaints so far.

Many, but they are well written and the story they tell is a good one, so point irrelevant to the comment. Next.

Maybe the reason it''s not higher is that the author hasn't earned a reading credit for eight months?

On the other hand, the Top Ten is an artificial construct, which leans heavily in favour of the less reviewed authors (Top-5 books a have an average of 12.8 reviews. 6-10 have 21.5 reviews each. You can be sure 11 to God-knows-where have more).

See my analyses of the machinations of the Top 10 in Writer's Circle forum.

Maybe you ought to have checked the date on my original post, fhebbert.

Okay, I found your comments in the Writer's Circle.

Jeez, fhebbert - I think there are more productive ways to exercise the grey matter.
