Hey all ... new myself and didn't take long to realize reviews don't come easy no matter how many assignments you accept and reviews you post for others.

Can we do Free Wills on each other if the synopsis and teaser interests us just to help each other make the charts? Seems to me we're mature enough to offer honest feedback on each other and if Free Wills are counted and pretty much match up in ratings with regular assignments, it would be a win win for every body and helpful.

Is this allowed?

Hi Cynthia - and welcome.
Yes, the site seems to be very slow at the moment in terms of getting stories assigned - not sure why. It helps (apparently) to only have one reading credit assigned to your story and keep the rest in the 'credit bank'. Again, not sure why but it does seem to work.

Free wills are definitely allowed and encouraged, but they don't count towards your overall rating so wouldn't help your chart position. It's a good way to get feedback though, particularly from readers interested in your genre. Just post a message on one of the threads and ask if anyone wants to do some reciprocal FWs.
Hope that helps. Good luck

Thank you so much Willow. I do have 4 reading credits on each of my novels. So should I remove 3 on each and back them until new reviews come in, then release one at a time?n

That seems to be the best idea - I've got ten credits in the bank. The reviews seem to be coming about every four or five days, which is frustratingly slow, especially when there seem to be so many people saying the same thing. I don't know what the answer is. I guess we all just keep plugging away!

I'm more than willing to give freewill reviews for works of fantasy :D

My reviewing skills aren't the greatest but I am a big fan of the genre.

If anyone wants my honest opinion just ask.

Hi Charlie,

I'd love to do a FW exchange. My story isn't fantasy. It's an alternative history about a 21st century woman from America who ends up in 12th Century England.

Click on the link below if you feel like reading. I'd be happy to read your story. I'm a JRRT fan since before you were born

Thanks so much. I'll give yours a read tonight. No, there aren't too many people who like fantasy here from what I can tell - some people have said they are unwilling to review it.
