Is this a record? I had the whole of my chapters 4,5 assigned, scored (nearly all 3s) and reviewed in approximately 20 minutes. I can only envy the reviewer his superhuman skill at reading. As my reviews often take 2 days of reading and considering, I clearly have a lot to learn.

Yeah, had one of these fast food reviews, too, but I wasn't that lucky, received a bunch of 2s. Even more interesting, the reviewer had registered this very day. I moaned about it and was called being ungracious.

Think I may be in the running for one of the fastest reviews. I uploaded 6,000 words. Then went back and read the chapters as the reviewer would read them. When I'd finished reading, I corrected two spelling mistakes, then found I'd received a review, about four hundred words or so. A friend of mine can speed read (not a YWO member), but she does admit she skims the page and just picks up on the important points. My reviewer must have been such a reader. It was the only explanation I could think of, because they'd read the chapters and written a review in record time. I'm not a slow reader, but I usually spend about 3 hours, more on longer pieces, reading, making notes and thinking about the comments I want to make. I personally don't think YWO is just about clocking up credits.

I have to download, copy, paste in a new document, then change the page set-up, fill every gap and make the font smaller to save ink and paper, and then print off before I can even read anything. How anywone can read on-screen is beyond me.

My 20-minuter was 101 words long (about him) and full of 2s and 3s.

I got a review within an hour of assigning a single credit - It was just over 100 words. It was one of the very early ones, but since it was so short it didn't help beyond telling me what the deficiencies were. But by the time I'd received my 17th review it became more relevant and useful in context, because it served to back up much more in-depth comments made by other reviewers later on.

JD, that just has to be the YWO record. Do you think they actually read the story, or just picked out the long words?

I think I must have had the LONGEST review...5 pages. Brilliant....I'm still reading it!!! Reviewer has taken the time and trouble to copy and paste my chapter and inserted comments all the way through.....it's really helpful...... Am full of admiration for such dedication Nick P, thanks. Jacqui

Quote: Linda, Wednesday, 27 Aug 2008 13:14JD, that just has to be the YWO record. Do you think they actually read the story, or just picked out the long words? To be honest, I was impressed they managed to find the answers to my questions in the time.
