I did this interview with The Sunday Mercury a few weeks ago about my book. It’s like The Sun for Birmingham so I suppose I should have expected the obsession with my personal life and vague mention of my book. But nothing really can prepare a person for this!

All publicity is good publicity etc. and at least they haven’t dissed me, but there are some incorrect details and really, why is all that stuff about our son so important? He’s a lovely boy for sure, but the book isn’t about him!
The blog that I wrote recently for The Guardian was all about author branding and I’m of the opinion that I’ll allow it because it gives me publicity, but I really don’t like this thing of having to make a celeb out of someone.
