I grew up in a tin shack way out on the Pampas but that is no excuse. Came back to the UK when my father died to find I had turned into a pumpkin.

I got a first in mathematical physics and am a gifted and creative draughtsman by common consent. I would also be a good tennis player were it not for untimely double faults.

I have been a gaucho, a tractor driver, sold estancias in Argentina, been a hatchet man in three different countries and now design software and write articles for trade magazines and websites (eg: msdn.microsoft.com, vb123.com, 4guysfromrolla.com).

But writing fiction is what really warms my heart.
